Barwa Bank celebrates 2016’s Annual Gala ceremony

Barwa Bank, Qatar's most progressive Shari’ah compliant service provider, held its 2016 Annual Gala ceremony along with a Staff Suhoor event at the St Regis Hotel - Doha, to celebrate the Holy Month of Ramadan as well as honor Barwa Bank Group’s yearly tradition of paying tribute to its top performing team members and loyal employees.

At the outset of the ceremony , Mr. Khalid Yousef Al-Subeai, Barwa Bank Acting Group CEO, welcomed Barwa Bank Group’s board members, the management team and  staff members. In his remarks about the top achievers and loyal employees’ contribution to the Group’s successes, he said:

 “You are Barwa Bank Group’s true partners in success. It is your creative ideas, hard work, and team spirit that empowered us to not only survive, but thrive in a competitive marketplace. It is the values of dedication, collaboration, and unity that you exhibited while meeting every challenge that we faced and achieving every goal that we aspired to, which enabled us to realize our vision, objectives and push our way through to the front ranks of the banking industry in Qatar and across the region. On this auspicious occasion, it is my pleasure, as well as my duty, to express my sincere and utmost appreciation for the contributions put forth by each and every one of you.”

During the event, Barwa Bank Group honored 30 best performing talents with this year’s Business Excellence Award, for their relentless efforts and exemplary performance in carrying out their duties and playing a remarkable role in boosting the Group’s profits, reducing its costs, providing outstanding customer value, and improving operational efficiencies.

In addition, Barwa Bank group’s loyal employees completing 5 Years’ Service were recognized. Moreover, first finance were also awarded for their long-term dedication to the business as they were given long service recognition certificates for completing 10 and 15 years as team members in the Group.

During the event, the Group’s Ramadan Campaign was highlighted, as part of Barwa Bank’s Social Responsibility towards the community, and a video demonstrating the Group’s Journey in 2016 was also showcased to the audience. The Gala Suhoor also witnessed the annual raffle draw, where lucky employees walked away with valued prizes.

As well as recognizing its outstanding employees for their noteworthy accomplishments, Barwa Bank Group’s Annual Gala ceremony presented staff members with an opportunity to reunite as colleagues and friends who honor one another and inspire each other to become a better version of themselves, while working hand-in-hand towards realizing the vision, mission and core values of the Group.
